Description
The Blauer RC3 Suit utilizes a ruggedized variant of Gore’s CHEMPAK® Selectively Permeable fabric, delivering abrasion and tear resistance akin to the CHEMPAK Ultra-Barrier fabric in Blauer’s Multi-Threat ensemble. This enhancement maintains the breathability characteristic of the fabric found in Blauer’s XRT ensemble. Developed in response to feedback from current users of Blauer’s XRT suit (NFPA 1994 Class 3), the RC3 incorporates a more durable fabric and introduces reinforcing fabrics and padding at critical stress points. These improvements aim to extend performance into more demanding mission profiles. As with all Blauer Homeland Defender® ensembles, the RC3 is designed as a one-piece coverall with integrated gloves and booties, featuring a liquid and vapor-resistant zipper, storm fly, and an integrated hood with a chlorobutyl face seal for use with approved APR/PAPR masks. The suit is self-sealing and requires no chemical tape.
