Description

Constructed from GORE® CHEMPAK® Ultra-barrier fabric, the Blauer Multi Threat Suit holds certification to NFPA 1994 (Class 1 and Class 2) and NFPA 1992, ensuring defense against chemical warfare agents (CWA’s) and toxic industrial chemicals (TIC’s) at concentrations at or above Immediately Dangerous to Life or Health (IDLH) when worn with an approved SCBA systems. Enhancing protection, this groundbreaking non-permeable membrane is laminated with a 4.5-ounce NOMEX IIIA outer shell, delivering excellent static dissipative performance and resilience against melting, dripping, and burning when exposed to high heat and flame.

Advanced Heat Stress Management

First responders, Hazmat, and tactical teams often grapple with heat stress and heightened core body temperatures induced primarily by their PPE ensembles, which trap body heat and impede the body’s natural sweat response. The Blauer Multi Threat CRBN Suit effectively addresses this issue through a distinctive “evaporative cooling” capability. The NOMEX® IIIA outer shell is designed to absorb water without compromising the integrity or protective performance of the underlying GORE® CHEMPAK® barrier. By dampening the suit with water before or during use, the wearer experiences a natural cooling effect akin to sweating as the water evaporates from the outer shell.
