Description

The ThreatID FTIR Chemical Threat Detection is a portable spectrometer for chemical analysis. It uses Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR spectroscopy) analysis to identify hazardous chemical powders, liquids, and gasses. Includes Pelican case with custom fit foam and fittings.

908 Devices built this detector on a modular system, starting with the GLS Base. The modular FTIR has options to use the ThreatID Gas Module, ThreatID Powders/Liquids Module or both. 908 Devices also offers 4 different levels of warranty and we’ve included a list of accessories below.

  • Expected Operational Life Indefinite
  • Shelf Life >5 years
  • Maintenance Cost <$1,000/year

Ready When You Are

ThreatID eliminates the need for alignment, calibration, or configuration adjustments when switching between gas/vapor and liquid/powder sampling modules. Its rugged diamond sample interfaces ensure reliable measurements in challenging environments. Meanwhile, the interactive on-screen prompts guide users through the sampling process seamlessly, step by step.

ThreatAssist

The ThreatID Portable FTIR Chemical Threat Detection has an on-board chemical hazard database. It provides instant information on chemical properties, hazards, and response information. This includes information on common names, IDLH, and PID correction factors. The database contains information from NIOSH, PubChem, Wiser and other reputable sources. It links directly to the ThreatID’s spectral library. This produces instant, accurate information related to the sample’s identity.
