Dräger Masks
Key Benefits and Characteristics

Wherever hazardous substances threaten or hinder safe breathing, you require reliable protective breathing equipment. Dräger offers a wide portfolio of protective breathing equipment from light respiratory masks, powered-air purifying respirators and airline systems, to heavy respiratory protection, such as breathing apparatuses. For monitoring the respiratory protection of emergency and rescue teams, boards and telemetry systems are available. Furthermore, portable NBC protection systems are included in our breathing protection portfolio.

Closed Circuit Breathing Apparatus

Throughout history, Dräger’s closed circuit breathing apparatus, has always been the first choice for mine rescue teams worldwide, protecting the mine rescuers during their operations. For long duration interventions as in tunnels or high-rise buildings our CCBA ensure sufficient breathing air supply to last up to four hours and provide the user maximum comfort and flexibility.

Full Face Gas Masks

Full-face respirators feature respiratory and eye protection at the same time. Our X-plore full-face masks are available as single-filter or twin-filter respirators and can be combined with the broad X-plore filter range as well as with our X-plore PAPR or airline portfolio. They are used for handling hazardous chemicals. For firefighting applications, we have the Draeger FPS full face respirators in our portfolio which can be combined with our extensive SCBA and CCBA product series, and also with our communication systems.

Draeger X-Plore Mask Filters

These filters attach to the bayonet filter mounts of the X-plore 3300, X-plore 3500, and X-Plore 5500. For more information about filters and which substances they can be used for, contact us today!

Half Face Gas Masks

Half gas masks in combination with respirator filters offer reliable respiratory protection from harmful particles and/or gases and vapors. Draeger’s portfolio consists of single-filter and twin-filter half masks that hazmat responders can use with the X-plore breathing filters. Hazmat responders can also combine the X-plore half face respirators with protective eyewear. Typical applications for half masks are handling of hazardous chemicals.

Multi Gas Detectors

With our multi gas detectors you can measure up to 7 hazardous substances at once – toxic and flammable gases, as well as vapours and oxygen. The portable multi gas monitors are mainly intended for personal air monitoring but can also be used for clearance measurement (with special accessories) and even for area monitoring.

Single Gas Monitors

For monitoring only one hazardous gas, single gas monitors are the right solution. Hazmat responders can easily carry the single gas monitors on their working clothes. Depending on the frequency of operations, responders can choose between disposable and reusable single gas monitor devices. A disposable detector measures standard gases which can also be detected by the reusable CO detector, H2S detector, SO2 detector, or O2 detector. Monitoring special or reactive gases is also possible, e.g. with an O3 detector. Furthermore, we offer you single gas detectors with hydrogen-compensated CO sensor or even a dual sensor measuring two gases at once.

Single Use Masks

The X-plore disposable mask series is designed for single use and protects you from harmful particles. We offer two different types of dust respirators: the pre-formed X-plore 1300 series and the folded X-plore 1700 disposable dust mask series. Both disposable dust respirators (FFP masks) are available in the three EN protection classes FFP1, FFP2 and FFP3 and optionally offer a special exhalation valve for less breathing resistance.

Dräger Poisonous Gas Sensor Kit

Dräger Tubes are glass vials filled with a chemical reagent that reacts to a specific chemical or family of chemicals. A calibrated 100 ml sample of air is drawn through the tube with the Dräger Accuro bellows pump. If the targeted chemical(s) is present the reagent in the tube changes color and the length of the color change typically indicates the measured concentration. The Drager Tube Poisonous Gas Sensor System is the world’s most popular form of toxic gas detection.
