MEL 10.2.17 Stopwatch

This stopwatch was sourced specifically to meet the MEL requirements. It is a great firefighter stopwatch for training and an excellent fireground clock. There are two major challenges for keeping track of time during a firefighting operation.

The first is when firefighter crews must locate the seat of the fire and work within the structure. If they become “lost in the fog”, they might work without effectively applying water to the fire’s base or identifying its origin. During that time, the fire continues to damage the building’s structure, emit more smoke, and spread more heat through the building.

The second is when firefighter crews work deep within large commercial buildings. As they stretch hoses, pull ceilings, and search for victims, it seems that only seconds pass before the bell to evacuate rings. If any members of the crew get “lost in the fog” while they are still deep in the building, it can result in casualties.

For these reasons, it is vital to have a high quality and precise fireground clock. This product is an excellent one.
