Kappler Frontline 500 Chemical/FR Protection Suits

NFPA 1991 Certified Apparel For Chemical Flash-Fire Protection.

The Kappler Frontline 500 FR is a Level A Hazmat Suit with Flash Protection. Certified to NFPA 1991, Frontline 500 FR chemical suit offers proven three-way protection. These chemical protective encapsulated suits have broad chemical holdout. Additionally, they have flame resistance and radiant heat protection against the additional hazards that hazmat responders encounter during a chemical flash-fire.

NFPA certification includes base plus Optional Flash Fire and Liquified Gas requirements. Kappler’s single-suit replaces the need for a cumbersome two-suit NFPA 1991 configuration. Like many Kappler garments, this is a ‘multi-use, single exposure’ suit. This Frontline hazmat suit provides excellent holdout for the ASTM F1001 battery and many additional chemicals.

To ensure optimal radiant heat protection, Kappler’s focus on user survivability included Pyroman Thermal Manikin testing in addition to the NFPA 1991 Chemical Flash Fire Option. Pyroman results for this Frontline chemical protective suit indicated 0% body burn – a huge confidence factor when facing a chemical flash situation.

The ensemble garment design with hood, jacket and bib pants provides excellent flexibility. The hood and jacket can be removed when not in the hot zone, thereby allowing the individual to ventilate. As with all Kappler apparel, this ensemble is a multi-use, single exposure garment.
