This is the KIT-B – Chlorine Institute Emergency Kit B for US DOT 106A500X Ton Containers

The Chlorine Institute Ton Container Emergency Kit (Kit-B) is the only US DOT approved capping device that hazmat responders can legally apply to a leaking chlorine ton container for shipping over the road.

Chlorine Institute Ton Container Emergency Kit B (RE-DESIGNED IN 2014) includes devices and tools to contain leaks in and around the ton container valves. The kit also includes tools to contain leaks in the side wall of ton containers.

Indian Springs labels all items with a part number and color codes them yellow. Then, it stores them inside a durable polyethylene tool box.

Note: The Chlorine Institute Emergency Kit “B” is the only chlorine emergency kit for ton containers that is manufactured to the specifications of The Chlorine Institute.

B-Kit Design Features

Devices

#14: Uses the same bar assembly, 28C, as Device 12 and does not touch or attach to the fuse plug
#12: Designed to contain leaks in and around the ton container valves (Illustrated).
#9: Patching device designed for sealing leaks in the ton container side walls.
