Excellent suitability for extended use
The slight positive pressure in the breathing circuit protects the wearer by keeping hazardous substances out of the sealed system. Depending on the situation, it can provide up to four hours of use. A CO₂ absorber removes carbon dioxide from exhaled air, while oxygen from the cylinder enriches the breathing gas. Before being inhaled again, the regenerated gas passes through a cooler to lower its temperature.

Product enhancements
The minimum valve, which supplies extra oxygen on demand, and its attachment clip are coated for corrosion resistance. A redesigned clip makes the valve easier to attach. The pressure reducer area and carrying plate have been reinforced for added durability and stability when handling the unit with the oxygen cylinder. To help lower the temperature of inhaled gas and reduce wearer fatigue, the cooler can be filled with ice.
Practice-oriented innovations
Newly developed heat protection for the breathing hose and housing is optionally available to help further reduce the temperature of inhaled gas. A T-piece with a water trap can also be retrofitted to the facemask, preventing water from accumulating in the device’s flow area. Additionally, any liquid discharged through the drain valve can be collected in an optional super absorbent fleece, which is designed for single use and easy disposal.
Simple CO2 disposal
Complete with an integral dust filter, the flow-sensitive CO₂ absorber is available as either a single-use option or a refillable cartridge. It features a newly designed spring clip that enhances spring durability for long-term use. The breathing hose connectors have been repositioned and resized for easier handling during assembly and disassembly. For hygienic storage, the single-use absorbers come sealed in protective packaging to ensure cleanliness before use.
Proven wearer comfort
The ergonomically shaped carrying plate, lightweight design, and adjustable harness with easy “pull-forward” straps offer greater freedom of movement with less strain. The breathing hose is routed across the shoulders to maintain balance and reduce bulk on the wearer’s back.

The hazmat rebreather features the Dräger Sentinel II, a fully electronic signal and warning unit designed for simplicity and reliability. Operated via large, easy-to-use push buttons, it provides crucial real-time information to the wearer, helping to reduce risks during operation. With reliable battery warning thresholds, the Sentinel II clearly indicates the system’s operational status.
