The FLIR identiFINDER R440 Highly Sensitive Sourceless Handheld RID is a compact, radionuclide identification device (RID) designed for efficient detection and rapid results during routine surveys or secondary screening missions. This lightweight device offers several detector options—NaIL, NaI, LaBr, and CLLBC—allowing it to detect radiological threats from greater distances, through thicker shielding, and with superior resolution compared to other RIDs of similar size.

The NaI (G) version also provides neutron indication within its extended energy range. Its lightweight design allows for easy one-handed operation during prolonged use, and its rugged, IP67-rated enclosure ensures durability.

Cal OES MEL 4.1.1 SURVEY METER, GAMMA: Capable of detecting gamma radiation (10 keV), with  visual display meter 0.001 milli-Roentgen to 1 Roentgen per hour scale, and includes counts per minute/counts per second scale (0-60,000CPM)

Requires one unit of identiFINDER R440 Radionuclide Identification Detector for Type 1, Type 2, and Type 3 teams. “Combination” survey meter will also satisfy requirement.
