The Class D Copper Fire Extinguisher for Fire Departments contains a copper extinguishing agent developed by the U.S. Navy for fighting lithium and lithium alloy fires. Not recommend to use against lithium-ion battery fires.

Copper compound smothers the fire and provides an excellent heat sink for dissipating heat. Copper powder is superior to all other known fire extinguishing agents against lithium metal fires.

This Class D Copper Powder Fire Extinguisher allows users to stand away from the extreme heat and toxic fumes that the burning material emits. Users can easily control the even discharge to provide a non-dispersing application of the class d fire extinguisher agent. Additionally, users may quickly detach the extension applicator to provide a stream of chemical when greater range is required.
