Gas, Radiation, and Aerosol data when you need it most with FirstNet integration

Monitor any scene from anywhere with a portable gas detection system. Data from each collection point is transmitted in real time to a central monitoring station and designated experts. This rugged, wireless solution provides comprehensive area monitoring while remaining simple to operate.

Chemical and radiological readings are relayed through a Smart LINC mobile device, featuring local and redundant broadband connectivity. With FirstNet integration, the system provides Public Safety priority and preemption during critical events. Additional broadband options help ensure reliable coverage.

The monitoring software presents both live and historical readings with map-based location data. All information is standardized for seamless interoperability with Federal and commercial systems.

Configure the system to detect up to seven gases simultaneously, selecting from a wide range of sensors including PID, CatEx LEL, IR LEL, O₂, CO, H₂S, and more—enabling protection against diverse gas hazards.

Live Gas and Radiation Data

This gas detection kit provides real-time gas and radiation data to help First Responders stay safe by delivering instant visibility into hazardous environments. Save Time and Money with Live Data

An air monitor for confined space provides immediate awareness of environmental conditions. Faster access to data ensures that more teams understand the exact situation and can prepare in advance. Responders no longer need to leave the hot zone to share information, reducing their footprint at the scene. With greater insight into hazards and quicker response times, the duration of dangerous events can be shortened, helping restore normal conditions sooner. When used proactively, this tool can even prevent incidents from occurring altogether.

Use the Included X-am 8000 Gas Detector as a survey, confined space, or personal monitor

Live Area monitors often remain unused for extended periods. With this system, you have area monitoring capabilities available when needed — and flexibility when you don’t. Simply remove the X-am 8000 and SmartLINC from the kit for standalone use, where it can function as a portable gas detector for confined space applications. The radiation detector can also be detached and operated independently.

Compliance with Presidential Policy Directive – PPD-8

This directive focuses on strengthening the security and resilience of the United States through systematic preparedness. In alignment with this goal, X-site Live provides full awareness of data sources, the type of data being collected, the status of each instrument, and other critical information.

Continuity of Operations

Ensure that essential functions continue to be performed during a wide range of emergencies by knowing live environmental conditions with the confidence of having redundant wireless connectivity. Potentially offset fines, litigation or penalties.

Toxic Twin Algorithm Helps Increase Firefighter Safety During Overhaul

Dräger’s patented Toxic Twins alarm function enhances firefighter safety by monitoring carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrogen cyanide (HCN) against a combined exposure threshold. This function is available in the area monitoring kit or when the X-am 8000 is used as a standalone personal monitor. Draeger air monitor provides a critical safety advantage by accounting for the synergistic, harmful effects of CO and HCN when both are present. When configured with both CO and HCN sensors, the X-am 8000 activates an A1 or A2 alarm on the HCN+ channel if combined concentrations exceed safe limits.

Radiation Detection

The portable area monitor is discreetly integrated into each kit and developed in collaboration with First Responders as well as state and federal law enforcement, the system includes a built-in directionality feature that helps locate the source of radiation.

Integrate with your WEATHERPAK Weather Station to Predict Toxic Plumes

Draeger X-site live available plume modeling software makes it possible to map hazardous plumes and identify areas at risk. These insights can guide critical actions such as evacuations and emergency response measures.

Economical Fleet Management

Bump tests and calibrations can be performed quickly and easily with the Dräger X-dock® calibration station. Its efficient use of test gas reduces operating costs, while integrated reporting and other advanced features make the X-dock Gas Detection Connect cloud-based system a valuable asset for fleet management.

Integrate with 3rd party equipment

The X-site Live solution also supports integration with a variety of other instruments. Compatible devices include Dräger X-am 2800 and X-am 5800 series instruments, FLIR radiation detectors, particle size analyzers, and more. This flexibility makes it an ideal portable monitor for a wide range of applications. For additional details, please contact your Dräger Sales Representative.

Dräger X-site Live Area Monitor

An area gas monitor is a portable or semi-fixed device that continuously measures the atmosphere in a specific zone to detect hazardous gases. Unlike personal gas detectors, which protect only the wearer, area monitors safeguard groups of workers and establish a safety perimeter.

  • Multi-gas detection: Monitors toxic, flammable, and oxygen levels simultaneously
  • Loud alarms & strobes: Provide clear warnings across noisy or large worksites
  • Durable and networked: Rugged for harsh environments and able to link with other monitors for wide coverage

In short, an area gas monitor acts as a shared guardian for work zones, ensuring everyone nearby is alerted to danger.
