Description

The Hazmat Pool Vinyl Repair Kit waterproof vinyl patches fix small tears in hazmat showers, pools, and carry bags. First Responders can use scissors to easily cut the patches to any size. Adheres with no sewing, NO GLUE and no mess. The patch also conforms to irregular surfaces and won’t turn gummy in high heat.

For Vinyl and Vinyl-coated material ONLY. Vinyl has oils that most adhesives absorb, which causes the adhesive to turn gooey, gummy, and ultimately lose bond. The vinyl repair patches contain an inhibitor that blocks the oils in vinyl. This results in a long lasting repair.

Vinyl Patch Kit Instructions

  1. Clean area that needs repairs with alcohol solution and let dry thoroughly before proceeding. Surface temperature of product to be repaired should be 50 degrees Fahrenheit or greater.
  2. Cut patch to size, rounding off all corners. Make sure patch extends at least 1 inch beyond the tear in all directions.
  3. Peel back 1/2 of the protective backing on the patch. Apply patch to perimeter of affected area taking care to remove air pockets and seal edges.
  4. Remove the remainder of the backing and seal patch to pool liner.
  5. Rub entire patch aggressively to ensure proper seal.

 

Note: Responders should apply the Patch to the inside of pool. For additional reinforcement, they can apply the patches to both sides of area. If area that requires repairs is larger than patch, responders can use multiple patches, taking care to overlap patches by 1 inch.
